New Beginning

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5: 17 KJV

What is a New Beginning?

New Beginning means fresh start, freedom, letting go of old things.

There's only one person that can give people a new beginning and that is God

18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19 KJV

Without Jesus Christ and without having faith in him you won't be able to let go of your Sins and your Past. You won't be able to have a New Beginning.

22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:22-24 KJV

The Importance of Talents

10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4: 10-11 KJV

What are Talents?

Talents are unique set of abilities or skills given to someone by GOD , everyone has talents but not everyone has the same, just because you don't know what your talents are doesn't mean you don't have any it just means that it might be hidden.

When you have hidden talents then it means the hidden talents are more important than normal talents. There are 4 things to do to know what your hidden talents might be.

1. Pray. When you pray for your hidden talents to be revealed to you God will reveal it to you Ask ye shall receive, Seek ye shall find, Knock and the doors shall be opened unto you, Matthew 7:7 KJV If ye shall ask anything in my name Ii will do it John 14:14 KJV Pray without Ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV

2. Discover When you are about to discover your hidden talents, you will have an idea of what your hidden talent is. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2 KJV Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3 KJV Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 2 Timothy 1:6 KJV

3. Research. When you are about to research what your hidden talents are you will be able to fully know what your hidden talents might be. Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth. Proverbs 19:2 KJV For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. Acts 4:20 KJV

4. Work Hard. When you are about to work hard, you will be able to practice your hidden talents and display them for people to see. The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat. Proverbs 13:4 KJV And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Colossians 3:23 KJV Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.Proverbs 16:3 KJV There are some well known people who discovered their hidden talents but I will only mention a few.

JK Rowling- Before JK Rowling, discovered her hidden talents she was just an ordinary person not knowing the meaning of life, she almost gave up on life till she discovered her hidden talents which is to write books, now she's well known as the author of Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts book.

Bill Gates- Before Bill Gates discovered his hidden talent he was an ordinary University student, until he knew what his Hidden talents was. When he first discovered his talents he worked with his friends, since his friends didn't understand what his talents was about they left him so Bill Gates had to work on his Talents alone. Now he's well known as the Founder of Microsoft.

Mark Zuckerberg- Before Mark Zuckerberg discovered his hidden talents, he was an ordinary University student. While he was at University he had an idea to make a platform where people could socialise with each other online and then he did a lot of research on how to start a platform, later on he worked hard on it. Finally he made the Social Media Platform that everyone uses today and that social media platform is called Facebook. Now Mark Zuckerberg is well known as the Founder of Facebook.

You can't discover or achieve your hidden talents without the person that gave it to you in the first place. That person is GOD if you try and discover or achieve your talents without God you will find out that it won't be successful.

Prayer of Salvation:

Lord Jesus I come to you today, I believe that you are the Son of God I believe you came to this world to die for my Sins on the Cross of Calvary, Wash me with your Blood Wash me in your Blood Write my name in the Book of Life Accept me into the Family of God Fill me with the Holy Ghost Forgive my Sins Help me I cannot help myself.

Prayer Points:

Father, thank you for the talents you have given me. If I have any hidden talents reveal them to me and help me to make it successful

Forgiveness Is Important

What is Forgiveness?

Forgiveness is when you stop feeling angry or resentful towards someone for an offense flaw or mistake and also the act of forgiving someone or been forgiven.

Why is Forgiveness Important?

We will be looking at 5 major reasons why Forgiveness is Important.

1. Forgiveness is important because God commands us to. We have to forgive others as its a command from the Most High God. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:31-32 KJV

2. Forgiveness is important because Jesus showed us the way Nowadays, it's easier to forgive people because Jesus Christ showed us how to do it. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. Luke 23:34 KJV

3. Forgiveness is important because God will forgive us. When we forgive others God will forgive us For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15 KJV

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. Mark 11:25 KJV.

4. Forgiveness is important because it brings healing to you. When we forgive others we are healing ourselves from the pain we have experienced from someone. Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Hebrews 12:15 KJV

5. Forgiveness is a free gift free to receive and free to give. When we forgive others, we are giving them a free gift and in return we will receive free gift from God. Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Matthew 18;21-22 KJV

God won't forgive Sinners unless they repent If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 KJV

The Bible says that God is angry with Sinners everyday. God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. Psalm 7:11 KJV

Prayer of Salvation:

Lord Jesus, I come to you today, I believe that you are the Son of God I believe that you died on the Cross of Calvary for my Sins I believe you rose from the Dead Wash me with your Blood Wash me in your Blood, Write my name in the Book of Life Accept me into the Family of God Fill Me with the Holy Ghost I cannot help myself help me.

Prayer Points:

Father, I will forgive people from now on, if I am still holding anyone in grudge or I find it hard to forgive them help me to release them and forgive me of any Sins that I may have committed

Ask

What is the meaning of Ask?

Ask is when you obtain information from someone for something either be questions reply presents gifts etc.

Jesus has invited us to ask him for anything we want and he even promised us that he will answer us when we ask him in prayer and supplication.

Ask and ye shall receive seek and ye shall find knock and the door shall be opened unto you Matthew 7:7 KJV

3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Jeremiah 33:3 KJV

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.John 14:13-14 KJV

What can we ask God for?

There are 5 Things we can ask God for.

1. Thanksgiving- The first thing you need to do is to thank God Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philppians 4:6 KJV . Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Ephesians 5:20 KJV

2. Protection- The next thing we should do is ask for Gods protection, if God won't protect us we wil easily fall into dangers. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalms 91:1 KJV The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 10:9 KJV When we ask God for protection he will be able to protect us from evil and dangers.

3. Provision- The next thing we should do is to ask God for provision, when we ask him for provision he will provide everything that we need. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philppians 4:19 KJV And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthains 9:8 KJV The Lord is my Shephred, I shall not want Psalm 23:1 KJV

4. Perservance- The fourth thing we need to ask God for is Perservance we need to be perserve to do the things of God till the end. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12 KJV And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Galatains 6:9 KJV

5. Repentance- The last thing you can ask God is to repent,Repent basically means to turn back from Sin or wrong and to change our ways. When we repent God is more than willing to answer our prayers and forgive us. One of the biggest hindrance to answered prayers is SIN. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 KJV If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance Luke 5:32 KJV.

Father, from now on I wil ask you for more things, let your Holy Spirit guide us in the way we ask and whatever we forget to ask please answer them, and if we are struggling what to ask you for let your Holy Spirit intercede for us.

Salvation

What is Salvation? Salvation means to be saved from Sin For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. There are lots of ways to get Salvation but I'll only mention 5 1. Repentance- the first thing you need to do is to repent of your Sins Repent simply means to turn away from something Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Acts 3:19 KJV If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV 2. Romans 10:9 KJV 3. Have Faith in God The next thing you have to do in order to get Salvation is to have Faith in God Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 KJV But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 KJV 4 Working out your own Salvation Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12 KJV But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13 KJV 5. Placing all your Sins upon Him Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7 KJV How do I know that I'm Saved? 1. When you hate what God hates and when you love what God loves Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:23 KJV 2. When you're living a Holy Lifestyle Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter 1:16 KJV 3. Your life will show that you have been transformed Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 KJV 4. You won't be ashamed to preach the Gospel Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 2 Timothy 1:8 KJV And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15 KJV 5. You will be filled with the Holy Spirit And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Ephesians 5:18 KJV But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8 KJV Can we lose our Salvation? Yes we can What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 6:1‭-‬2 KJV If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6 KJV Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10:38‭-‬39 KJV Why do we need Salvation? 1. The Holy Spirit

Week Commencing Monday 14th December 2020

Today we want to start a Series on one of the significant topics in Christianity which will include the Fruits of the Holy Spirit Gifts of the Holy Spirit, but today we are going to start with the Holy Spirit because we have to know who the Holy Spirit is before we can discuss the Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Who is the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Third Person in the Trinity Godhead he coexist with God the Father and the Son. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Matthew 28;19. KJV

The Holy Spirit is our Helper- But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14;26 KJV . The Holy Spirit helps us in our times of needs.

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter- But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: John 15;26 KJV The Holy Spirits comforts us whenever we are down.

The Holy Spirit was involved in Creation- And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters Genesis 1:2 KJV

The Holy Spirit was the dove that descended on Jesus Christ after he got Baptised And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew 3:16-17 KJV

The Holy Spirit convicts us of our Sins- And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: John 16:8 KJV

The Holy Spirit renews us when we give our life to Jesus Christ- Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Titus 3:5 KJV. The Holy Spirit transforms and renew us when we give our life to Jesus Christ and it's only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we can perform signs and wonders for God.

The Holy Spirit was the one who filled the disciples as cloven of fire enabling them to speak in tongues on the Day of Pentecost. And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:1-4 KJV

The Holy Spirit is the breath of God- And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7 KJV The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. Job 33;4 KJV And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: John 20;22 KJV.

The Holy Spirit searches our hearts and minds- And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:27 KJV The Holy Spirit searhces our minds and hearts to make sure they are right with God.

The Holy Spirit intercedes for us- Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 KJV

The Holy Spirit caused the Virgin Mary to conceive - Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 1;18-20 KJV The Holy Spirit was the one that made the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ to happen by causing Virgin Mary to conceive

The Holy Spirit is a Person- But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 2 Corinthians 13:14 KJV The Holy Spirit is a He and not an It, lots of people make the mistake of calling the Holy Spirit an It instead of an He its a common mistake especially amongst believers.

The Holy Spirit has a Will- But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 1 Corinthians 12;11 KJV.

The Holy Spirit can be grieved- But they rebelled, and vexed his holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he fought against them. Isaiah 63:10 KJV The Holy Spirit has emotions so he can be grieved and one of the ways we can grieve the Holy Spirit is when we Sin he can't stand Sin so everytime we Sin we are grieving him.

The Holy Spirit can give joy- In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. Luke 10:21 KJV And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost. 1 Thessalonians 1:6. The Holy Spirit gives genuine joy the kind of joy that lasts even in the midst of problems.

The Holy Spirit teaches- But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26 KJV. The Holy Spirit teaches us and helps us to understand things of the Bible when our human knowledge fails us.

The Holy Spirit Testifies of Jesus Christ- But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: John 15:26 KJV The Holy Spirit is a testimony of Jesus Christ and testimony of what he has done for us on the Cross of Calvary he also testifies of things that Jesus Christ is yet to do for us and our generation.

The Holy Spirit Leads- For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14 KJV. The Holy Spirit Leads us in all that we do he also enables us to be Children of God

The Holy Spirit reveals truth- Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13 KJV The Holy Spirit is the revealer of truth he reveals truth about Bible and other things that people don't often know about he also reveals truth of things yet to come and warns us of any upcoming dangers we need to know about.

The Holy Spirit strengthens and encourages- Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. Acts 9:31 KJV. The Holy Spirit strengthens and encourages us when we feel like giving up or when we are down.

The Holy Spirit helps us in our Weaknesses and infirmities- Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Romans 8:26 KJV. The Holy Spirit helps us when we are weak or ill he also heals us and makes us whole whenever we are sick.

The Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:11 KJV. The Holy Spirit searches deep things of God and reveals secrets to us that isnt commonly known to man.

The Holy Spirit Sanctifies- That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. Acts 5:3 KJV The Holy Spirit is a person and he can be lied to, lying to the Holy Spirit is committing suicide. When Ananinas and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit they died on the spot.

The Holy Spirit can be Resisted- Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Acts 7:51 KJV. The Holy Spirit can be resisted people who resists the Holy Spirit are those who are stiff necked and who refuses to repent from their Sins and whoever resists the Holy Spirit resists God and his transforming power.

The Holy Spirit can be Blasphemed- Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. How to be filled with the Holy Spirit?

There are many ways to be filled with the Holy Spirit but today I will only mention 10 unique ways of how to be filled with the Holy Spirit

1. Forgiveness- And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32 KJV Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Colossians 3:13 KJV Forgiveness is one of the unique ways to be filled with the Holy Spirit if you are an Unforgiving person the Holy Spirit can't fill you because he can't stand Sin.

2. Getting rid of anger- Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Ephesians 4:26. KJV He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. Proverbs 14:29 KJV Getting angry easily isnt good as a Christian we are supposed to be gentle and patient but we should get angry for the right reasons and not sin during anger. The Holy Spirit can't live in a person that sins when they are angry and especially when they refuse to learn how to improve their anger.

3. Loving one another- Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:7-8 KJV. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:43-45 KJV Loving one another is another unique way of been filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can't stand disunity and disunity is a Sin because one of the greatest commandments of God is to love one another including our enemies, if you hate anyone then the Holy Spirit can't fill you because Hatred isnt of God but of the Devil if hatred is one of your weakest points then ask God to give you the power to overcome it.

4. Receive- Receive Jesus Christ as your Personal Lord and Saviour then you will be filled with the Holy Spirit For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2;8-9 KJV That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rromans 10:9-10 KJV

5. Ask- We should ask God to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that we can be filled with the Holy Spirit Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 KJV If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13 KJV.

6. Rest- Rest is promised to those that have accepted Jesus Christ as their Personal Lord and Saviour, and we should rest know and trust God that he will fill us with the Holy Spirit. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit Romans 8:1 KJV Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 KJV

7. Repent- We have to repent on a daily basis because sometimes we Sin unknowingly and any manner of Sin whether known or unknown displeases God and prevents him to answer our prayers or to be filled with the Holy Spirit the more we repent the more we will be filled with the Holy Spirit. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 KJV Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19 KJV The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 1 Peter 3:9 KJV

8. Walk-Walk by the spirit and not by the flesh, the more you walk by the spirit the more you will be filled by the Holy Spirit. Those who walks by the flesh aren't filled with the Holy Spirit because they want to please the world and not God. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16 KJV Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1 KJV

9. Reading the Bible- When we are reading the Bible we fill ourselves with the Holy Spirit and whenever we don't understand what we are reading in the Bible The Holy Spirit gives us revelation or spirit of understanding to understand what we are reading. The more we read the Bible the more we are filled by the Holy Spirit. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 KJV All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8 KJV

10. Preaching the Gospel- When we preach the Gospel to others the Holy Spirit flows through us and in some occasions speaks through us when we perform miracles signs and wonders for God its the Holy Spirit that is demonstrating the power of God through us because we can't perform such things with our own power. The more we preach the Gospel to others the more we will be filled with the Holy Spirit. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20 KJV And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Matthew 10:7-8 KJV For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 KJV For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 KJV But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8 KJV

How do I know if I am filled with the Holy Spirit?

There are many ways to know whether you are filled with the Holy Spirit or not but I will only mention 7

1. When you don't have the spirit of Fear- Fear isn't of God, so if you don't fear anything like things in the spiritual realm or what is happening around you then it is evident that you have the Holy Spirit but if you are fearful of somethings ask God to help you to overcome your fears. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1 :7 KJV There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:8 KJV Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 KJV

2. When you are BOLD to preach the Gospel- Boldness is a MUST in order to preach the Gospel to people . The Bible says if we are ashamed of him on Earth he wkll be ashamed us in Heaven. As Christians we can't afford not to be bold to share the Gospel because there are many souls who needs to hear the good news of Jesus Christ and get saved also Bible says if we don't warn people about their Sins thier blood will be on our hands, we obviously don't want that to happen to us. Also whatever we do or don't do God will judge us for it. The Devil knows that in order for us to preach the Gospel to others you will need Boldness to do so that's why he puts spirit of fear of preaching in the lives of some believers but it is something that needs to be prayed against and activated by faith and actions Bible says faith without works is dead. There are other ways to preach the Gospel, you can preach the Gospel virtually through social media through video calls and texts, you can preach the Gospel by sharing tracts leaflets banners in random places bus trains schools shops etc. You can even preach the Gospel via face to face contact sharing Good News of Jesus Christ sharing your testimony with people inviting them to church praying for them so that they can be saved. There are many ways to preach the Gospel to people but I have only mentioned a few. The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. Proverbs 28:1 KJV Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him. Acts 28:31 KJV And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, Acts 4:29 KJV In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. Ephesians 3:12 KJV

3. When you hate the things of the world- The world we live in is a corrupt place we can't afford to love the things of this world nor act like them remember when we are friends with the world we are an enemy of God and being an enemy of God is extremely dangerous as he is also the Consuming Fire. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4 KJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God Romans 12:1-2 KJV Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:15-16 KJV

4. When you stand out for Christ- As Christians we are supposed to stand out for our Personal Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ people should be able to see that we are different people are supposed to ask us questions about our new identity. To put it into reality people should be able to know that we are Christians without us uttering a single word to them. If people don't see the difference in us or that we are New Creation in Christ then there's a problem. Our actions should show and draw people to Christ. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12;1 KJV Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:13-16 KJV Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 KJV But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 1 Peter 2:9 KJV

5. When you are unusally on fire for God- One of the best and unique ways to know whether you have the Holy Spirit in you or not is when you are unusally on fire for God I said unusal because despite your challenges, circumstances, situations and trials in life you are still on fire for God. Some people give up on God whenever they face difficulties but it is only selected few who keeps on going despite what they have been through. Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Romans 12:11 KJV They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. Psalm 34:5 KJV If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:26-27 KJV Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 KJV But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 KJV Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded James 4:8 KJV

6. When you resist Sin , Temptation and live a Holy Lifestyle- When you are resisting Sin in order to live a Holy lifestyle it means that the Holy Spirit is working through you to resist the Sin that you are currently struggling to overcome. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Philippians 2:15 KJV My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path: Proverbs 1:15 KJV My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. Proverbs 1:10 KJV Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 KJV Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; Philippians 1:27 KJV I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Philippians 4:13 KJV

7. When you are able to discern between true Prophets and False Prophets- Spirit of discernment is crucial to have during these last days there are many False Prophets around so we need to have the spirit of discernment so that we don't get deceived by False Prophets. Spirit of Discernment is one of the Gifts of the Holy Spirit but if you don't have it then ask for God to give it to you and he will. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1 KJV And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. Philippians 1:9-10 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:14

The Holy Spirit is in everyone but it is only fully activated and used in the lives of Believers even though th Holy Spirit is in everyone it doesn't mean that he is activated in everyone in order to fully activate the Holy Spirit that dwellth in you you must accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Lord and Saviour. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 KJV I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Luke 5:32 KJV

Prayer of Salvation: Lord Jesus I come to you today I believe that you're are the Son of God I believe that you came to the Earth to die for me and that you died on the Cross of Calvary for my Sins Wash me with your Blood Wash me in your Blood Write my name in the Book of Life Accept me into the Family of God BAPTISE Me with the Holy Spirit

Prayer Points: Father, fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit and give me the spirit of Boldness to be able to spread your word to people make me unstoppable and whatever is hindering me to be on unusually on fire for for you today uproot today, if I am losing your fire for you please reignite my fire for you again.

Fruit of the Spirit : Love

Week commencing Monday 21st November 2020

Today we are going to discuss the Fruit of the Spirit there are 9 attributes of the Fruits of Spirit a genuine Child of God can show to others but today we are going to focus on one of the Fruits of the Spirit which is love.

What is Love?

There are different definitions of love but we are going to look at the Biblical defintion of love as it will make us to understand what love is and why it is important.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NKJV

Why is love important and one of the fruits of the Spirit?

Love is important and one of the fruits of the Spirit because Bible says that God is love personified and also because we are commanded to love our neighbours especially our enemies.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this worldThere is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. 1 John 4:7-21

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34-35 KJV Master, which is the great commandment in the law?Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 22:36-40 KJV We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19 KJV

There are 8 kind of love and I am going to break them down with Bible verses.

1. Philia Affectionate Love - Philia is love without romantic attraction and occurs between friends or family members. It occurs when both people share the same values and respect each other — it’s commonly referred to as “brotherly love.” Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Romans 12:10 KJV Let all that you do be done with love. 1 Corinthians 16:14 KJV

2. Pragma Enduring Love -Pragma is a unique bonded love that matures over many years. It’s an everlasting love between a couple that chooses to put equal effort into their relationship. Commitment and dedication are required to reach “Pragma.” Instead of “falling in love,” you are “standing in love” with the partner you want by your side indefinitely. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5 KJV But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 KJV

3. Storge- Familiar Love Storge is a naturally occurring love rooted in parents and children, as well as best friends. It’s an infinite love built upon acceptance and deep emotional connection. This love comes easily and immediately in parent and child relationships. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 KJV With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Ephesians 4:2 KJV And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8 NKJV

4. Eros Romantic Love- Eros is a primal love that comes as a natural instinct for most people. It’s a passionate love displayed through physical affection. These romantic behaviors include, but are not limited to, kissing, hugging and holding hands. This love is a desire for another person’s physical body.Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Ephesians 5:25 KJV Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Genesis 2:24 KJV With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Ephesians 4:2 KJV But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Colossians 3:14 KJV

5. Ludus Playful love- Ludus is a child-like and flirtatious love commonly found in the beginning stages of a relationship (a.k.a. the honeymoon stage). This type of love consists of teasing, playful motives and laughter between two people. Although common in young couples, older couples who strive for this love find a more rewarding relationship. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. JOhn 15:13 KJV And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16 KJV And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2 KJV A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 17:17 KJV

6. Mania Obessive Love-Mania is an obsessive love towards a partner. It leads to unwanted jealousy or possessiveness — known as codependency. Most cases of obsessive love are found in couples with an imbalance of love towards each other. An imbalance of Eros and Ludus is the main cause of Mania. With healthy levels of playful and romantic love, the harm of obsessive love can be avoided. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, [b]thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never fails 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 KJV Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14;23 KJV Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 1 Peter 1:22 KJV

7. Philautia Self Love- Philautia is a healthy form of love where you recognize your self-worth and don’t ignore your personal needs. Self-love begins with acknowledging your responsibility for your well-being. It’s challenging to exemplify the outbound types of love because you can’t offer what you don’t have. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: Ephesians 5:29 KJV This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3;1-5 KJV And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:31 KJV I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Galatians 2;20 KJV

8. Agape Selfless Love- Agape is the highest level of love to offer. It’s given without any expectations of receiving anything in return. Offering Agape is a decision to spread love in any circumstances — including destructive situations. Agape is not a physical act, it’s a feeling, but acts of self-love can elicit Agape since self-monitoring leads to results. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18 KJV Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 KJV For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Romans 13:9-10 KJV

There are different ways to show love which is one of the Fruits of the Spirit but I will only mention 7 ways.

1. Help people out of a tight spot- When we see someone in a tight spot we should help them in the best way we can even though we might not be able to miraculously solve a problem God has gifted us to help people out of a tight spot in the best way possible. And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. John 2:1-11 KJV But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Hebrews 13:16 KJV He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. Proverbs 19:17 KJV

2. Get people help when you can't help them- Whenever we find in a situation where we can't help people we should try and get help for them even if it's something small it will mean a lot for the person you are helping. He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord; and that which he hath given will he pay him again. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. Mark 2:1-12 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2 KJV Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Philippians 2:4 KJV

3. Pray for people- When we pray for people we are showing them love because God answers our prayers and there is power in the prayer of agreeement. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16 KJV Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. Acts 12:5 KJV I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. John 17:6-19 KJV

4. Rebuke people when it is needed- Sometimes the best way we can love someone is by graciously confronting their sinful, destructive behavior Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. Proverbs 27:6 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. Luke 17:3 KJV Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Matthew 18:15-17 KJV

5. Freely forgive offences- Another way to show love to others is by forgiving them of their offenses Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Matthew 18:21-22 KJV He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends. Proverbs 17:9 KJV Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. Colossians 3:13 KJV

6. Humbly serve them- Another best way to show love is to humbly serve people Jesus showed us an example to humbly and graciously serve others and he wants us to do the same to other people. Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end. And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him; Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all. For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. John 13:1-17 KJV For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Galatians 5:13 KJV And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25 KJV

7. Preach the Gospel to others- When we preach the Gospel to others we are showing them love, if someone knew the truth about something or knew how to escape danger and they keep it to themselves that isn't showing love but hatred if you keep the Gospel to yourselves and not telling people about Christ and not telling them to repent Bible says that their blood will be on your hands. But when we preach the Gospel to people we are sowing a seed into their lifes and their blood will no longer be on our hands. When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Ezekiel 3:18 KJV And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. Mark 16:15-16 KJV For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 KJV But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8 KJV

The only person or people that can show the first attributes of the Fruit of the Spirit which is love are those who has the Holy Spirit dwelling and activated in them which are the True Genuine Children of God if you want the Holy Spirit to dwell and activated in you so that you will be able to show the attributes of the first fruit of the Spirit which is love you only need to do a few things acknowledge that you are a Sinner that youneed a Saviour Accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Lord and Saviour That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10 KJV

Prayer Points: Father, give me the strength power might and encouragement to show love to others in any area of my life where my show of love to others is lacking please help me to show the love and uproot any form of hate and disagreement from my heart fill my whole life with your love to the point where I show nothing but love to others

Fruits of the Spirit : Joy

Week commencing Monday 28th December 2020

Today we are going to focus today is the second attributes of the Fruit of the Spirit which is Joy we are going to discuss what joy is and why it is important

What is Joy?

Joy is one of the Fruits of the Spirit But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 KJV

Joy Biblical joy is choosing to respond to external circumstances with inner contentment and satisfaction, because we know that God will use these experiences to accomplish His work in and through our lives. In its fuller, spiritual meaning of expressing God's goodness, involves more. It is a deep-rooted, inspired happiness. Joy is also something you get in the presence of God Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:11 KJV

Joy can be found in the Holy Ghost- True Joy is only found in the Holy Ghost and nowhere else For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14: 17 KJV Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:13 KJV

Joy is linked with Salvation Salvation comes with joy when someone receives salvation they get joy instantly - And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation. Psalm 35:9 KJV Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory 1 Peter 1:8 KJV

Joy comes in the morning Morning is assoicated with joy while nighttime is assoicated with sorrow meaning that we might experience night seasons in our lifes but it will soon become a day and joy season .- For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5 KJV

Joy is something that Jesus promised us himself Jesus promised to give us joy because he is the only person that can give us joy and he knows what it's like to be sorrowful he doesn't want to see anyone weeping in sorrow. - And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. John 16:22 KJV These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John 15:11 KJV Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24 KJV And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. John 16:22 KJV

There are several differences between worldly joy and genuine joy but I will only mention 7 of them.

1. Worldly joy changes often and is temporary Genuine joy is only from God- Worldly joy doesn't last long but genuine joy which comes from God lasts for eternity. That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment? Job 20;5 KJV Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:20 KJV Rejoice evermore 1 Thessalonians 5:16 KJV

2. Genuine Joy is assoicated with true worship to God Worldly joy is assoicated with pride and self praise - When we truly worship God we get joy God is the giver of joy the more we truly worship God the more joy we would receive. Meanwhile when we praise ourselves and have pride in our heart we have worldly joy which is temporary and doesn't last long . Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart. Psalm 32:11 KJV But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Isaiah 64 :6 KJV Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18 KJV

3. Genuine Joy is a gift from God Worldly Joy comes from Satan- True and genuine joy is a gift from God because everything God does for people and the world brings joy to people's heart. Worldly joy doesn't last long because it comes from Satan and everything Satan does is temporary deceptive and lies. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Romans 14:17 KJV Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1 John 2:15-17 KJV

4. Genuine Joy comes from doing the will of God Worldly Joy comes from doing worldly things- When we are doing the will of God we get joy from it whenever we are doing things of God he rewards us greatly for it and one of the ways he does that is by giving us joy. Meanwhile worldly joy comes from when we do worldly things like sinning to try and satisfy us but the thing is nothing in this world will satisfy us only Jesus Christ will because he has everything we need and he is able to provide everything that we need. Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand. 2 Corinthians 1:24 KJV And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all. 2 Corinthians 2:3 KJV Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4 KJV And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 KJV

5. Circumstances can't take away genuine and true joy Worldly joy can be taken away by circumstances- Despite what goes on in our lifes taht can't and won't take away true and genuine joy because it comes from God anything that comes from God lasts forever. Meanwhile, worldly joy gets taken away by circumstances and situations that takes place around them because things of the world doesn't last forever and can be affected by situations and circumstances. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience James 1:1-3 KJV Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me. Philippians 2:17-18 KJV While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1 John 2:17 KJV

6. The only thing that can steal our genuine and true Joy is Sin Worldly joy can easily be stolen- Whenever we Sin we are opening ourselves up to demonic attack and preventing God from answering our prayers because Sin is a big hindrance between us and our prayers been answered. On the other hand, Worldly joy can easily be stolen because the giver of worldly joy is a thief and a liar. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 KJV Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, nvyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21 KJV Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2 KJV The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10 KJV Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Peter 5:8 KJV

7. Genuine and True Joy is a command Worldly Joy is a choice- We are told to rejoice at all times despite what we go through in life. Meanwhile Worldly joy is a choice and can be changed by whatever we go through. Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Philippians 3:1 KJV Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4 KJV He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. Proverbs 21 :17 KJV Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness. Proverbs 14:13 KJV

There are different ways to get joy but we will only look at 7.

1. Ask- The first way to get joy is to ask until we are satisfied. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:24 KJV Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7 KJV

2. Read the Bible- When we read the Bible we are receiving joy the more we read the word of God the more joy we will reeive from it If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John 15:10-11 KJV Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Philippians 3:1-3 KJV All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16 KJV

3. Spreading the Gospel- When we spread the Gospel to people not only are we receiving joy we are also sharing joy with others. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Psalm 51:12 KJV Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20 KJV And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:10 KJV

4. Fellowshipping with other Brethren- When we fellowship with other Brethern we are receiving joy not only that we are sharing joy as well I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Psalm 122:1 KJV Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Romans 12:15 KJV

5. Praying for others- When we are praying for others we are receiving joy because when we pray for people we are doing the will of God and doing the will of God brings joy to the heart. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16 KJV But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matthew 5:44 KJV

6. Fasting- When we fast we are receiving joy even though we may not like to or want to God will reward us from it and we will get joy from it as the result of our fasts benefits us spiritually and physically. Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord? Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Isaiah 58:5-6 KJV Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;hat thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:16-18 KJV

7. Spending time with God- Joy comes from spending time with God because we will be spending time with the giver of Joy the more time we spend with God the more joy we will receive But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 KJV So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:2 KJV

True genuine and everlasting joy is only available to genuine Children of God worldly joy doesn't last long and the owner of worldly joy only gives it to people to convince people to turn away from God and wants you to give something back in order to keep it. While eternal joy is given to us by God regardless of what we have done. In order to have genuine true and everlasting joy you should accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Lord and Saviour

Prayer Points: Father, I receive the joy that only comes from you give me all round joy anything or anyone that is hindering my joy to be complete remove it today.

Fruit of the Spirit : Peace

Week commencing Monday 4th January 2021

Welcome to 2021 A New Year today we will focus on our very first topic of the year 2021 which is also one of the Fruits of the Spirit Peace and we want to focus on what peace is and why it is important

What is Peace?

Peace is one of the Fruits of the Spirit But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 KJV Peace is the opposite of war Peace also means completeness or wholeness. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. Matthew 10: 13 KJV

Peace is a promise from God Before Jesus left the Earth he made lots of promises to us and one of them was about his promise . I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 KJV The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. Psalm 29:11 KJV

Peace is a gift from God- God gives us many gifts one of his gifts is Peace Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 5:1 KJV Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15: 13 KJV

Peace is eternal- Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 KJV I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly Psalm 858 KJV

Peace is a very crucial thing that we need to survive in life peace is often seen as sanity or completeness but sometimes peace can be found in the wrong place so today we will focus on the differences between worldly peace and Godly peace we will only focus on 7.

1. Worldly peace is fleeting and changes with circumstances while God's peace is permanent and everlasting Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him. Micah 3:5 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace Isaiah 9:6 KJV

2. Worldly Peace is built on the weak foundation of compromise, Godly peace is built on strong foundation of God ake heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee: Exodus 34:12 KJV For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Romans 8:6 KJV

3. World's Peace ignores the root of the problem Worldly Peace doesn't deal with the original problem which is Sin because it can only be dealt by God God's peace deals with the problem They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace Jeremiah 6:14 KJV. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 KJV

4. World's Peace is dependant on feelings- Peace from the world is dependant on our feelings but Peace from God is dependant on our trust in him Godly Peace is dependent on trust in God Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. Psalm 32:7 KJV A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. Proverbs 15:13 KJV

5. Worldly Peace must be seen Godly Peace must not be seen- Peace from the world must be physicaly seen if it isn't seen then it means that you don't have any peace. Peace from God doesnt have to be seen despite your circumstances and situations you will still have the peace of God and it doesn't have to be seen as it is a gift from God Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all2 Thessalonians 3:16 KJV While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV

6. Worldly Peace can be understood Godly Peace surpasses every human understanding Worldly Peace can easily be understood by like-minded people while Godly peace surpasses every human understanding. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philppians 4:7 KJV Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:2-3 KJV

7. Worldly Peace comes with tribulations Godly Peace comes with victory These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Matthew 24:6-7

There are several Biblical attributes and truths of Peace but we will only look at 7.

1. Make peace with other people- The first Biblical attribute and truths of Peace is when we are Peacemakers Bible says unless we make peace with others we won't get to the Kingdom of God Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Hebrews 12;14 KJV Bible also says that peacemakers are blessed Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9 KJV

2. Peace is a product of God's design- Peace was designed by God and he gives it to those who are genuinely his Children and those who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Personal Lord and Saviour And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 KJV Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: Romans 5:1 KJV

3. Peace is a comand from God- God commanded us to make peace with him and others if not we can't go to Heaven And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:15 KJV Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Hebrews 12:14 KJV Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11 KJV

4. Peace comes from knowing Jesus and is not linked to external circumstances - When we get to know Jesus Christ personally peace comes with it and it doesn't affect our circumstances because the peace of God is above human knowledge and understanding . For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Colossians 1:19-20 KJV And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 KJV

5. Jesus is the Giver of Peace because he is the Prince of Peace- Jesus is the Prince of Peace meaning he is the ruler of Peace he gives peace to those that asks for it and to those who are his Children For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 KJV Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 KJV

6. Peace is a vital part of our relationship with the Holy Spirit- Peace comes from the Holy Spirit in order for us to have peace we have to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit if we don't we can't get genuine peace. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatains 5:22-23 KJV Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Romans 14:19 KJV

7. Peace should be shared with others- We must not keep the peace of God to ourselves but we must share it with other people one of the ways to do that is by sharing the Gospel with people. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9 KJV And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. James 3:18 KJV

True and everlasting peace comes from God and it is avaliable to those who have accepted Jesus as their Personal Lord and Saviour, There's a difference between temporaral peace and everlasting peace temporaral peace lasts for a while everlasting peace lasts forever the only way you can accept everlasting peace is if you accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Lord and Saviour if you want everlasting peace Accept Jesus Christ as your Personal Lord and Saviour today. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV

Prayer Point: Father, from now on I will be a peacemaker let me enjoy all round peace anything or anyone that is hindering me to have all round peace remove today give me the strength and courage to share your peace with others by sharing the Gospel to people.

Fruit of the Spirit Longsuffering

Week commencing Monday 11th January 2021

Our next topic in the Fruit of the Spirit Series is Longsuffering we will learn what longsuffering how to apply it into our lifes and why it's important.

What is Longsuffering?

Longsuffering is one of the Fruits of the Holy Spirit 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5;22-23KJV What is Longsuffering? Longsuffering is defined as having or showing patience in spite of troubles especially those caused by other people Longsuffering is also Biblically defined as patiently enduring lasting offence or hardship.

Longsuffering is extremely important because as Believers we are told to be patient at all times And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.Galatians 6:9KJV we need to be patient so that we do not worry or stress about anything Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.Philippians 4:6KJV Longsuffering also helps us to increase our faith in God But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 1 Peter 5:10KJV

There are many reasons why longsuffering (Patience) is important but we are only going to focus on 7. 1. Longsuffering is required to bear with one another- Without longsuffering we will be arguing with one another, gossping with one another, fighting one another, etc. We need longsuffering so that we will be able to bear with one another Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. Galatains 6:2 KJV.

2. Longsuffering is the opposite of pride- Without longsuffering and patience it will be easier to have pride which is a sin that God hates. We will need longsuffering because it will help us to die to our flesh and get rid of pride The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Proverbs 8:13 KJV I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.Galatians 2:20KJV

3. Longsuffering is required for our and others salvation- We need longsuffering to be able to preach to the Gospel to people and to remain in Jesus Christ because without longsuffering we won't be able to preach the Gospel to people and we will most likely fall away from Christ as God's timing is different to us and sometimes that may require us to wait on God to answer us Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. Psalm27:14 KJV

4. Longsuffering is required when we are going through hardtimes- Everyone goes through hardtimes but not everyone can be patient when they go through hard times some people lose their patience when they are going through hardtimes. Longsuffering will help us to take our minds off our current circumstances and to focus on God Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10KJV

5. Longsuffering is needed when we are fasting- When we fast we should see it through and to the end fasting is good but it is also better to see the fast until the end. Many people fast but not many people see the fast until the end. We need longsuffering to help us to see a fast until the end and we also need longsuffering to help us not to sin or get angry with people while we are fasting. God promised us that when we wait on him that our strength shall be renewed. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 KJV

6. Longsuffering is needed when we are hopeless- When a hopeless situation arises many people including some based on our sinful nature will rather look for ways to escape their hopeless situation than to be patient during that time. We need longsuffering to help us to be patient during hopeless situations and to trust in God. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13KJV As genuine Born Again Christians we must remember that Jesus is our hope of glory despite our hopeless situation Jesus is our hope To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Colossians 1:27 KJV.

7. Longsuffering is needed to improve our character-
